The barbecue, held at Alley Pond Park in Queens, was a free event that offered food, drinks, music, and games.
Several brothers of Phi Iota Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and sisters of Hermandad de Sigma Iota Alpha, Inc. came from the up-state and metropolitan regions of New York to attend the event.
The barbecue, with a family-oriented setting, also welcomed friends and loved ones of members of the organizations.
